Hi ho, Hi ho, It's Off To a Meeting I Go

So, it's my day off.  And true to my boss's annoying tendency to schedule a meeting on my day off, I have to go in to the hospital for an hour of sheer boredom.  Honestly, other than 60 minutes of "I want us to be the best", and harping about the overtime, I can think of nothing that is ever accomplished.  Winter time in hospitals, or at least the one I work at, is horrendously busy with flu and pneumonia season, and this year we've had an onslaught of H1N1 as well.  So, needless to say, I value my "off" time.

Not so today...*sigh*

I so hear you Amy. Luckily, within the last year or so, my employer has tried to streamline our meeting schedule. With an on-going hiring freeze, less staff, and dwindling dollars, they've recognized that our old meeting schedules just aren't realistic anymore. In some cases we've gone from monthly meetings to quarterly, which has been heavenly.

I vote for the quarterly meetings!

Of course tonight's meeting was pointless and a waste of my time, which, I'm sure, my boss wouldn't agree with. But she says tomahto, I say tomato. *shrug*
